FAA Air Traffic Control Facility Maps
Posted: 10-07-2009, 01:42 AM

These maps were created with the information from the FAA facility list on this site. If you click on each of the markers, it shows the facility level and locality rate. The color code for the markers is the same code from the list - Blue: Towers / Green: Up-Down / Yellow: TRACON / Red: Center

Google maps gets overloaded with all the markers, so it shows only part of the facilities at a time, but here's the link.

All FAA ATC Facilities

So we split the maps into two - states east of the mississippi river, and states west:

FAA ATC Facilities - East

FAA ATC Facilities - West

Thanks to my wife, who did this while I was in class. Seems the wife of a CTI student tends to get a little bored sometimes! There may be some errors, we couldn't find exact addresses for some of the facilities.

Those maps are pretty awesome. You're right, the whole U.S. one doesn't load correctly for me, but the other two do. Who knew there were so many up/downs???

Noticed in my area that you're missing LAF, Lafayette Tower, Lafayette, IN. Level 4, 13.86% locality.

You're also missing STL and T75. Massive undertaking to do, and a great new resource. Plus hey, fun to look at.

Fixed. Thanks for the info. Google crashed on us a couple times and we lost some of them. I hope we didn't miss too many!

I am going to make a guess and say Elmira(don't think the faa has too many facilities in Canada) is a little misplaced but nice work.

Good job, you should take your wife out on a date now! Preferably away from Google, ha ha.

ZHU was on there, was just hidden behind another marker at the airport. Moved it to the exact facility location, now you should be able to see it. Thanks (like I said, there's probably lots of errors!).

Hope you don't mind me throwing in some correction data myself

Carlsbad, NM (CNM) is listed on there as a having a tower, but I think Carlsbad, CA (CRQ) is a better bet, especially since the locality is so high.

Pueblo, CO (PUB) is just a tower now, no TRACON anymore since Denver TRACON (D01) sucked up that airspace.

BJC in the Denver area is now "Rocky Mountain Metro Airport," instead of Jeffco like it used to be. Sad name change if you ask me...

Awesome work, that's great stuff!
