Visiting Potomac TRACON
Posted: 11-11-2009, 06:12 PM I'll be visiting Potomac TRACON for "Operation Raincheck" which is basically an opportunity to tour the facility and learn about ATC and the TRACON facility. I'm a CTI student and wondering what I should expect, and how should I dress? What should I bring if anything? (Assuming this will be a decent networking opportunity.)

write down a list of questions and bring that...i didnt do that and forgot to ask alot of the things i wanted to is this the first time you've toured a faciltity? |

Re: Visiting Potomac TRACON
Posted: 11-11-2009, 09:32 PM I went to an Operation Raincheck at PCT last year and I was dressed casually, ie. polo and cargos. Nobody at my event was dressed up more than that or they wore regular clothes. I would also not bring anything besides what they tell you to bring because you will have to go through security where they will issue you a "Hello, my name is..." badge.
If they still offer the tour of the operations area, where they keep the stuff to run the radar and facility, make sure you get in that line because that was the best area besides the radar room. |
