Re: Air Traffic Control Problems
Posted: 02-18-2009, 05:32 PM Another clear example of the FAA's inability to plan for the long-term.

Re: Air Traffic Control Problems
Posted: 02-18-2009, 07:34 PM What's silly about this whole thing is the FAA had full knowledge that controllers were gonna start retiring (1981 + 25) and should've started preparing much sooner.
Ineptitude caused this problem. |

Re: Air Traffic Control Problems
Posted: 03-08-2009, 01:12 AM Really they ran out of VRA and CTI's. When did that happen? I know of 4 people at my facility that applied VRA and it took them 6 months to get back to them. By that time, they already got picked up for a contract tower or DoD jobs. Mabe for the experienced controllers should have a quicker hiring proses.
