Do yo really think getting the Gov involved will control costs
Theoretically, the money from your taxes that goes for gov salaries, police, army, atc, etc, gives you something in return. Look at college tuition. It increases in direct response to the amount of gov money available thru grants and insured student loans.
And most people don't call taxes contributing. When my money is taken under threat of imprisonment, I'm not making a contribution.
