Thanks for all your help. You definitely made it easier to make up my mind. It is hard because I live in the NW right now. One more question: If I later decide to go somewhere else, will I stay at the same pay
Say I want to go to a ARTCC or a low level tower. I would like to be able to keep getting paid the same.

Someone else posted the current rules on transfers and pay, keep in mind that the union will try to negotiate a real contract when bozo bush gets the boot.
That being said, transfers and moves are not easy to come by as of late. Used to be people would transfer up (promotion) with little trouble, now it is considered a lateral move and not a career progression. Most facilities are pretty short some worse than others and are not letting anybody go.
Sounds to me you are trying to pick the right place to go and stay which is the best move. Just figured I would add the info to help. Things will more than likely get back to allowing people to move around again, just might take a while.
Good luck.
