    ATSAT Score

So I just got my score from taking the test last friday. It was 81.2! A little lower than I would have liked and thought I was going to get. I have read on here that some people dont think it makes much of a difference right now if you are within the "qualified" or a"well qualified" ranges. Is that true or is it going to even take a bit longer for me to get on? For you that are at the acadamy now or others waiting that got around my score what type of time frame did it take you?

    Re: ATSAT Score

I'm just going to echo what I've said in the many other threads on this topic that have been started in the past day or two.

In Pubnat 2, I didn't hear of any Qualified scoring applicants getting selected. Many well qualified applicants were skipped over as well. They have a lot of well qualified people to pick from. So even though this is a massive hiring spree, it's still slightly competetive when it comes to the ATSAT scores.

I don't know every applicant from my announcement, so perhaps some Qualified folks were picked up. I'm just saying I haven't heard of any that I could name for you.

    Re: ATSAT Score

A score of 85% or better is "well qualified" All PUBNATs must achieve this score to be considered. This is as of the meeting some of my prof's at CTI had in a phone conference with the FAA in April 2009.
CTI's are required a 70% or better to be considered.

You resurrected this thread just to provide incorrect information?

Qualified applicants may still be considered. There have been qualified-scored applicants selected in the past. It's just not common.

    Re: ATSAT Score

Okay- first things first. I scored lower than "well" qualified and got hired quickly to a pretty busy facility. I was hired a while ago but still took ATSAT. I know of a lot of people who weren't "well" qualified and got hired rather fast. Maybe it has changed- I'm not sure. I do know though, that your ATSAT score doesn't mean crap once you get hired. Don't worry about it. We have a similar game at work called NATPRO and some of our best controllers absolutely suck at it! As long as you passed, you checked the box off. Call and make sure your application keeps moving along- it helped me. Good Luck!
