I was wondering if anybody has any information on the logistics of being colorblind and applying for an ATC job. I have read that you can get in touch with the FAA and they can issue a signal light test that acts as a waiver to the color vision portion of the physical, but just wanted to see if anyone has done this Also, what is the best method to get in touch with the FAA for a matter such as this I'd appreciate any feedback

I just talked to a guy at my facility who is green/red colorblind and he was able to get a waiver by "demonstrated ability". It sounds like he obtained his waiver awhile ago because he didn't really have specifics but apparently it is possible. At one time it was a signal light test but it's something different now. Wish I had more info for you but thats the best I could do.
