I think your making the right decision. Its not worth it. I think you would really regret living somewhere you don't want to, especially for little pay. It could bring much unneeded stress. I think safe to assume that you will spend your career at the facility you choose. Assumptions of a transfer could lead to disappointment, when the time comes. You don't want to settle, its your life so don't short change yourself. I wouldn't be nervous, I know where you are, I was nervous, but its not worth the stress. You should feel good that they wanted you in ME, and confident that they will want you in DFW and not hold it against you for turning it down. It would be cool if we ended up working together, we'll have to keep each other posted.
