They will walk away and rightfully so. Even if the FAA increases the bottoms of all the pay bands by 15% it is still a reduction from the green book of 19.5%.
Another point I'd like to make is one NATCA should probably raise, as well. If the pay bands need to be raised, why doesn't the FAA unilaterally implement them like they did the white book
There is nothing preventing the FAA from raising the pay bands. They just want an agreement - any agreement - with the union to waive at Congress for Sturgell's nomination.
It's just another half-*ssed ploy on the part of the FAA management.
