I appreciate the input Just wish it wasn't impossible to get in touch with the FAA to find out what I have to get done.

Have any idea of a direct line number to ask this question

I just had my medical done at the Faa's Eastern Regional Office by JFK. Dr. Lester is the head of the department. phone # 718-553-3300.

I took the Ishihara Plate Test. I missed one and was told you can miss up to 2 plates and still pass. Don't know if this helps you, but I wasn't told anything on the possibilities of a waiver. Good Luck.
