Re: Hawaii
Posted: 04-26-2010, 09:24 PM Currently a controller at PHNG (MCAS Kaneohe), SERCO has 2 towers. 1 in Kona (big island) and Lihue (Kaui). Hickam/PHNL is FAA (Tower, TRACON and Center). DOD towers are PHNG (Kaneohe/USMC, USN), Kalaeloa (Barbers Pt/Airforce) and Wheeler AAF (Army) on Oahu.

Serco of present is in this controllers opinion more concerned with the share holders, profits, and the bottom line than in providing service to the flying public. They have cut staffing in facilities, have done away with sick leave, unless you can afford to loose money you come to work sick, this has implications involving safety for everyone. There are other issues as well that is evident by the recent number of Serco towers that are seeking Union representation.
