Well... See here's the deal. This might be really dickish. But in my time in the military there are a few things i have learned about working with people. I know what type of people I enjoy working with. And I know of several people who I enjoyed working with, that are looking for jobs now. I'm not saying I wouldn't enjoy working with you, I'm just saying there are people who I would like to recommend when there is an opening. On top of this, I know the people, who i would recommend to this job, are the people who can get the job done. I'm not sure if you've ever put your name on a recommendation for a job. And if you have, I don't know if you know how humiliating it is if that person fails. Especially in ATC. And I know I'm not technically "recommending" you to the bossman. But, if it turned out that i were the one responsible. oh man. i would feel like an idiot. On top of all of this. We've hired 6-8 controllers in the last year. including 3 in december. 2 more are coming in the next 2 months.

Like I said, we are full. If there is a mass exodus, I would have no problem posting that the tower is in need of help, what company, and who to contact. It's at times like those (mass exodus), that a CTI student would have some leverage in getting hired.

Just because we can hire out of CTI, it has not been done before. There would have to be many MANY things for that to happen. more than i care to write. And the boss who told me this today, is leaving to a new job in a month.

And now that i've discussed my opinion. This is what is going to actually happen. This is an awesome opportunity for anyone with a CTI degree. I don't know of anywhere else this can happen. You get a chance to work at a control tower, making contract tower money, and learning how to control airplanes. You can get your CTO here, get your 6 months experience and move on. that will take over a year... army training plan, plus they will make you wait 6 months after being "PQed" (position qualified on local) before they give you your CTO.. it's the army. This isnt your normal "30 days to get rated or you're fired." So, when there is an opening, you will be the first person i contact.. actually... behind two people from my navy days. but you will still be contacted.

There are reasons i don't want to post my facility name/company name on stuck mic.

Is this the same ATCMacGyver that told me my real CTO from A CTI wasn't worth the paper it was written on and that it might be better used as toilet paper??

please find where i said that, you little twerp. And in this case, A CTO from BCC still isn't any better than a $2k CTI CERTIFICATE from florida community college.

one thing sir last night when I was asking you about what company you worked for it was not for me I have a CTO it was for the person that started this post he is just asking for help and opinions on how to get his career in atc started their is no need to be a dick about it you could just post the company that you work for no need to give out names he could do the leg work for him self CTI people have to start some place. One more thing I no from being on stuckmic that you are at or going to be at Denver ATCT so at this point in your career why are you being a dick to some one that is just trying to get some information their is no way he or she could take your job at this point unless you are just a dickhead controller that thinks his shit don't stink.

I will repeat myself since you didn't understand it the first time.

We are very full at the moment. I know that they wont hire a CTI guy at this point in time. when that time comes up, i will post it. There is no reason to do that now.
