Re: how much does a class II cost me?
Posted: 07-12-2009, 01:43 PM Ive seen as low as $55, but usually they are closer to $100. All depends on where you get it done.

Posted: 07-13-2009, 08:50 AM $100 is about right. I've also paid around $85. Never cheaper that I can remember.

Re: how much does a class II cost me?
Posted: 07-13-2009, 09:06 AM I have paid $65 each time I went (though not for a while) here in Colorado. As was said, they dont charge based on the type of exam, so generally I too went for the first class. The bright side to that, is after a certain period of time (one year I believe), it will lapse to a second class med, then I believe two years later, lapses to a third class.

This is a confusing topic and most people misunderstand it just like you did; I did at first as well. Hell, the majority of my new hire pilot class at skywest thought the same way you did. It's a common mistake. |
