Re: Contract Towers as employer's
Posted: 11-01-2009, 08:18 PM Family issues, I had to move back to CONUS. Kids!!!!! I probably make 30k a year less than I would have in Bethel. A lot nicer place, though. And I have my family with me.

Re: Contract Towers as employer's
Posted: 11-11-2009, 06:01 PM Hey guys.
I should have my CTO in a year and a half through Air National Guard. I was wondering with a first/new CTO how hard is it to get hired by a contract tower?? Will i be able to get a job right away or will it take a while. Im only talking about contract tower. Wanting to work the Fort Collins, Co airport once i get my CTO for a couple of years. Then going to move onto FAA. Any thoughts?? |

The only way to really get a CTO is through the military. You can get them through the FAA but by the time you would get in the FAA and then earn your CTO you wouldn't be going to a private tower anyhow.
