Midwest Employment
Posted: 10-26-2009, 06:53 PM Ok so I just got hired at Midwest, I'm very excited and very happy. My question is can anyone tell me about the company? I'm new to this life outside the military. But I'm not new to Air Traffic Control, so I'm not too worried about traffic and such. But still any help about the company would be great. Thanks, I'm going to DET

Remember that unless you are retired from the military, FAA or DOD, contract work is temporary. Eventually you want to get into the FAA or DOD to get a good retirement and better benefits. If this is your first time working GA traffic, don't worry too much, the controllers there will teach you what you need to know, just don't be arrogant and say well in the military we did it this way. Take everything they say and learn from it, remember you are on their ticket while in training. If they think that you are not cutting it or are not able to get along with the others working there, they will tell the manager and they will let you go. Overall Keep and open mind and a good attitude. Congratulations and best of luck... |

Re: Midwest?
Posted: 10-28-2009, 05:39 AM I know that Midwest has towers in Afghanistan and Iraq and I've been trying to get on with them before my contract runs out with the company I'm with in Afghanistan.
