..i truly believe that networking with the right people, can get you selected sooner than not networking. And by networking I mean get associated with the ATM's and the DM's and other import positions in ATC. If you associate with the right one, they will recommend you to the hiring panel.

I graduated August '11 and selected during the November '11 panel. Networking and a WQ atsat score is key in my opinion. It seems that not everyone networks and some get lucky, but I know my name was recommended during the CO selection panel and that's how I was selected for ZDV.

Absolutely key IMO as well, unless you find and pick a facility that not many people want to go to.

Graduated August '09 and still waiting. I've met with 2 people who sit on the panels themselves, as well as the director for the entire Central Service Area in one of those meetings, but I don't think they can get down to my name on the list because I'm only Q. Or maybe I didn't make a good enough impression on them? Who knows...
