CTI Recommendation

My recommendation has been submitted to the FAA and I am awaiting the the notification that I can apply. From what I have heard I should receive an email with a code that I will need to apply through ASAP. Is this process the way it has been explained to you or if you have received your recommendation is the way it was for you? Also how long did it take to receive the notification after your school submitted your recommendation?

One more thing on my asap account under user information tab there is a spot that says CTI graduaiton date should I expect this to be updated when I get the notification to apply or what was your experience?

Congrats on the graduation.

My experience: You should receive a code shortly from Amy (CTI coordinator in OKC) with the job code to apply. If you dont receive it soon, I would try contacting her, as you will likely want to be part of the next selection panels which are tentatively scheduled for the first or second week of August. My school sent the recommendation in January and the announcement did not open until March, so that was when I applied. Now that the announcement is ongoing, things have changed.

Some people have had an update on ASAP for the grad date. I did not have that included on my ASAP page. I was selected in the May panels for ZDV and have heard nothing to deter my application because of it.

after i graduated the FAA rep at my school said he sent in are commendation... so i thought i was set...it was at 4 month down the line that i decided to call OK and ask, they said they did not recieve a recommendation.

my advice to you is be on top of it. call OK and asked them if they got it. if not call your school.

also let the OK HR rep know that you have graduated and give her the date, she will update it when she confirms it with your school.

+1 on the first part of the question, on your second part thou my CTI information is currently up to date and it says in ASAP graduation date December '09. I would check into it to make sure they have your info correct or you need to let them know..

I graduated in May from Metro state and my professor told me he sent my recommendation to the FAA. One of my classmates received an email from the FAA last week with a job location preference and the code to apply on asap. It has been worrying me that I have yet to receive an email from the FAA. Thanks for the phone number, I'll call Tracy and see whats happening.
