CTI Selection Panel?

Hello,

Does anyone know when the hiring selection panel for applicants who applies CTI this last go around is supposed to be?? I just applied in May and have heard rumors that there is supposed to be a panel in late August/early September. I know there is a panel for OTS applicants in September but do they do CTI at the same time as OTS or is it different?

Also, How different is the process from OTS hiring? Do applicants under the CTI hiring get emailed a "geo preference" email?

panels are panels...everyone's apps are reviewed at the same panel meeting

cti's dont get geo pref emails...just a pepc invite

So I applied back in June..
Waiting very patiently to hear/see an update on ASAP..

Under referral list status, it says:

"Referrals are based on submitted questionnaire at time of referral"

Is that what it looks like for everyone who applied? ( I applied CTI)
Should I be getting a different message?
That's what I've been seeing ever since I applied...

I thought CTI's do get geo preference, just not the option of chosing enroute or terminal.

Where did you get the information about not getting geo pref? That is the first I have heard of that. Why would they not let CTI students choose states/facilities they want to work at?

CTI get Geo Prefs and there should be two more panels if the FAA keeps to the Sech. of having one quarterly, however it looks like they are not so expect a panel before the end of the fiscal year(Oct). With that said, OKC is backed up after Raytheon took over and fired and lowered the trainers pay. However the raytheon trainers at my internship said OKC is up to about 1yr-1.5yr wait, they are only doing 50 people max every three weeks.

i didnt say they dont get geo prefs...i just said they dont get emails...i thought it was on the app since its a different set up...isnt it 5 regions or something like that

correct it is on the application now, however i have herd some people got an email too but no everyone. (maybe it depends on which HR rep looks at it and mess up?)

The next selection panels (for VRAs, CTIs, and OTSs) are currently scheduled for the week of September 21st.

I've heard the same thing, with referral lists to come out sometime this month!

I don't believe that is completely accurate, maybe CTI or OTS have a wait that long but CTO and VRA applicants are getting picked up and classed in as little as 4 months if you time it right.
