Any news on the January panel?

Does anyone have any news on if the January panel is taking place and when? It has been quiet concerning the Jan panel and any news would be great, thanks.

take a gander outside of the CTI forum. PUB 7 has a lot of January panel info. It looks like they've been postponed.

apparently according to some other posts, it appears to be postponed. no date has been specified from what I have been seeing.

Thanks, it does look like the panels have been postponed. This is disappointing but there isn't much we can do about it.

After reading PUBNAT 7 posts, it looks like the panel has been cancelled for the PUBNATs. Does this automatically mean that CTIs and VRAs could not be selected in January? Maybe the FAA is just cutting back on hiring OTS and will not be reviewing any OTS for the January panel. Not sure how the PUBNAT's work so maybe the January panels really have been postponed for everyone.

Who knows because this last panel, not all the states attended and that was the first time for that... I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

I haven't attended any panels but have reviewed the results of all the previous panels. (Since PUB 1)

Every previous panel has selected members from each group...VRA, CTI, OTS, etc...That's a pretty good basis for making such a statement. Show me where there has only been CTI's hired, or VRA's for that matter (within the last 2 years) and I'll say I was wrong.


Why would a state attend if they were not authorized to add any additional employees? That was a money/staffing issue, not a change in panel policy.

The previous panel selected from each referral list, further supporting my statement.
