Question about closing date in announcement
Posted: 12-19-2009, 09:45 PM Announcement Number : AAC-AMH-09-CTI-12655 Opening Date : Oct 16, 2009
Closing Date : Sep 30, 2010 Position : Air Traffic Control Specialist Trainee Series : 2152 Business Component : Air Traffic Organization Duty Location(s) : Throughout the States, United States - Vacancies: Many Salary Range : $17,540 - $17,540 FG-1 Information about Locality Pay Information about COLA Information about Citizenship Who May Apply : AT-CTI Graduates We are not accepting applications from non-citizens. Job Status : Full Time Appointment Duration : Temporary NTE - 13 months 1. I just graduated this month from UAA. Since the closing date for this CTI announcement closes in September of next year, will the FAA wait until after that date to go through the apps, or will they go through some of them before it closes? 2. I am trying to work as an RPO until I get hired, but I talked to someone in Cleveland tower and they said they are in a current hiring freeze(raytheon that is). Does anyone know if raytheon and the faa are working on new contracts yet? Cleveland person told me next few weeks look promising, but does anyone know for sure? Thanks. ~Alex~ |

Re: Stupid Question

1. The FAA keeps this bid open all year now until further notice. Once you get recommended and get the code from the FAA, you can apply. Once you apply you are in the CTI pool and are eligible for the next panel, if you get on a referral list. 2. I also applied a while back for the RPO positions. I recently (2 weeks ago) got a call from the hiring agency for raytheon, filled out the employment application and had a phone interview with a guy from NoCal tracon. He said they are counting with the process and just waiting for the green light to hire some RPO's. With that in mind he said it could be up to six months or more, its all up to raytheon to get the money and hire people. He said he would not doubt if i got picked up by the FAA via CTI before raytheon for the RPO. |
