But have you sent in a letter of recommendation in with your ASAP (so that ATMs that you don't have contact with that are in attendance at the hiring panels will have something more than just an application). I have a contact within the CTI referral list that i email a few Lets of Rec and she said she would put it with that ASAP itself. Just wondering if that kinda makes me stand out. I guess time will tell.

Do not think that matters much, when you apply just like any other bid in the FAA you are given points, then a listed is generated(how some people make referral lists and some not). The panel will look at the list in order of the points awarded amd what bid you applied. Example when i worked for the CTI internship this past summer, the final referral list for the facility was 75 people i was ranked 4th with 2 VRA's above me and one other person.

Some examples, my numbers may be off but gives you an example of the system.

Masters Degree 14pts
Bachelors Degree 7pts
Associates 5pts (not sure about this one)
Year at the Command Center (think its up to 40 pts)
Work experience X pts etc etc etc

Here's what you have in mind, at least when it comes to movement.

I'dve uploaded it here, but I can't figure out how to do so. One of the site admins might've temporarily removed the upload feature while they're shuffling stuff around. If the link goes dead and someone wants to see the form later, just PM me.

Correct me if I'm wrong but this looks like a transfer form for internal movement and doesn't include new hires. Do they use the same form? Thanks

They don't use the point system for hiring. It's not necessary, since it confers no hiring advantage. A PhD with 5,000 hours in a turbine is just as likely to be successful (or a failure) at controlling as an undergrad with the ink still drying on his CTI recommendation. Or Joe OTS, for that matter.

Perhaps it's used for internships, like rogers said. I don't know anything about that... just the ATCS selection process.
