I just started at Kent doing ATC, so keep that in mind. So far I like it.

I am new to the curriculumn, but to me it seems they give you way too many filler classes. I think the ATC based classes they force you to take will be great however, I question a lot of things they make you take. Being a 4 yr degree, you have to take a lot of crap... like a fine art and crap like that. I currently am forced to take Materials and Processes, which will teach me how to weld, forge metal, mac... I am going to be graduating as a CTI student in December. Although my decision to double major in Air Traffic Control was last minute, I have found most of the material to be helpful and the training facility conducive to good training. Some of the staff members seemed disorganized at times, but I have learned a lot about the basics of Air Traffic Controlling and will hopefully be getting a good score on the ATSAT this Fall!

Being the guinnee pig of their program is always a rough time. We've had a problem getting professors for teaching en-route, but somehow they found a few (even if it happens the week before classes start). Over the years the CTI progam has gotten better and better. The simulator program still being improved with few bugs left in the system. If you have an... [Read More]

I just graduated from the Aeronautics program at Kent in May. I am originally from Chicago, but I found a new home at Kent. I started there to get my pilots license, and got my private, and then decided to make the switch to the general aeronautics degree and pursue ATC. The CTI program there is just getting on its feet, but they have a lot of great plans in the works, including the purchase of new sims. The teaching staff there is 100% there to help you, and is always willing to work with you. ... [Read More]
