TCC is an amazing CTI school. The area is pretty cool, the classes are small and personal, and the curriculum is top of the line. Ben and Gary (instructors) give out both their office and their personal cell phone numbers to everyone in the class. I text the all the time with questions. They're also very flexible and instructive. The simulators are top of the line, supposedly the same set up as the FAA academy, and much better than the ones we had for the Army. The classes become pretty tight kn... [Read More]

Excellent program with top notch instructors. I would highly recommend the TCC CTI program to anyone looking to get school knocked out quickly while still getting a great education at a great price. Heads up...if you can prove full time work status in Tulsa County you can get instate status. I graduated from TCC in May 2011.

I graduated for Tulsa Community College(TCC) in May of '11. TCC and its staff is second to none. Ben Bancroft and Bob Cimino are some of the best in the business as far as I'm concerned and are true veterans of the air traffic control community. Both Ben and Bob are pilots, and can offer some intuition on what happening on the other end of the mic as well. Everything from the intro courses to the final tower labs are geared to bring the entire class success. They work with each student individua... [Read More]

I am making a career change and that is what brought me to TCC. I am fortunate to have a few years experience flying for a living so I lucked out in being familiar with the ATC process. That type of experience is very helpful if you have some, but it is not crucial if you lack it. You have to solo to finish up though and you have to make sure that you have a good instructor who will work for you.
I chose TCC because I lived in Tulsa the first time I went to school. Plus, TCC took ... [Read More]

I began the CTI Program at TCC in the spring of 2010. I recently graduated this summer, 2011. The program is only two years and can be completed rather quickly as opposed to four year schools. I feel extremely fortunate to have taken the CTI Program at TCC. My instructors, Bob Cimino (Uncle Bob) and Ben Bancroft were the BEST instructors I have had during my entire college career. They are like family who welcome students with open arms. They both were always there to answer any questions or add... [Read More]

The ATC program at TCC is a great one. It was a fast program, so we learned a lot of information in a short period of time. It is a tough but manageable load even if you have a job or other obligations. I'm not saying it was easy- ATC is not for everyone, and people who don't take it seriously get weeded out.
The instructors, Bob Cimino and Ben Bancroft, have years of experience in air traffic and both do an excellent job of passing that knowledge on to the students. I graduated ... [Read More]

I enjoyed myself the whole 2 years I was attending class at tcc, everything was new to me on the aviation side. Coming from the corporate world it wasn't easy because I didn't even know what air traffic control existed. Now I never want to go back to the corporate world. Ben Bancroft and Bob Cimino are some of the best instructors I would say in the United States they work hard to help you understand air traffic control. I recommend this school to anyone.... Tulsa Community College is a great place to recieve an Air Traffic Control CTI degree. The course work is wonderful and the information and experience offered by each instructor is outstanding. Uncle Bob and Ben have wonderful expierence in the ATC world both in radar and the terminal environment. They make coming to class enjoyable but also very serious at the same time. TCC has great simulator equipment for both terminal and radar. At TCC you learn the fundamentals of air traffic and build on ... [Read More]

i recently finished my last class of Air Traffic Control. I couldn't have been happier with my experience of the classes bought by Bob Cimino. Bob made learning this curriculum not only easy but made everyone understand everything fully. No one was left behind and no one suffered if for being ahead in the class if he took the time to help out the ones who didn't understand. I've really enjoyed the program at TCC. I feel that it has been well thought out and put together. It has been designed to help the students learn and succeed.

The instructors are willing to take whatever time necessary to teach the material and have made a lot of additional appointments to us help prepare for the ATSAT test. I feel they are genuinely interested in our development and want us to do well.

If you are looking for a CTI school, TCC is the place to go. Very affordable, extremely knowledgeable staff, friendly atmosphere, and its located in a very large aviation community. The instructors at TCC teach everything that is needed for the FAA Academy and much more. They make the learning experience fun yet informative. I strongly recommend TCC.

In short, the CTI program here at TCC is very efficient in educating and training individuals to become air traffic controllers. This summer I finished my last simulation lab and will be applying with the FAA in a few weeks. I couldn't feel more prepared for a career than I do right now. Bob and Ben have built an outstanding program. The curriculum is very well structured and it was fun to learn the rules through classroom study and develop the skills to move aircraft through the use of tabletop... [Read More]

I just finished up my last semester at TCC in the ATC program. Before I started, I knew absolutely nothing about flying, controlling, or aviation in general. I've learned a lot in the last two years, all thanks to Ben and Bob who are both highly intelligent and knowledgeable on everything dealing with and surrounding ATC. There is nothing better than learning from instructors who have a passion for what they teach, and they dedicate A LOT of their own time to make sure we are getting as much as ... [Read More]

I am currently in my last year of school at TCC in the Air Traffic Control Program and it has been great. This is a 2-year program and is very affordable compared to some of the other ATC schools. I was looking for a school that was close to the state I live in and also a 2 year program and not a 4 year. The instructors are great, Bob and Ben are VERY good teachers with a lot of experience and they are dedicated to seeing you succeed. A lot of time and effort has been put into this program and i... They both are currently retired and take pride in teaching at TCC.

I am a recent CTI grad from Tulsa Community College and wanted to share my amazing experience with the program. First of all, the simulator is a vital tool for teaching. TCC has the exact same simulator that they use at the academy in Oklahoma City. You really couldn't ask for a better advantage than that. It gives you the option to go through real-life experiences including fog, rain, winds, low visibility, night, etc. The second thing that made my training so remarkable is the teaching staff. ... The AT-CTI program at Tulsa Community College has been the greatest post-secondary academic experience I have had. If you have any preconceived ideas about what makes a good air traffic controller, think again! Even the FAA doesn't exactly know - seems to be a diverse group of people from many different backgrounds. If you think you may not posses the skills needed to become one of the highest-paid government employees, never fear...the most qualified ATC ... [Read More]

The first thing I noticed about Bob Cimino (one of the two instructors) is that he knew a lot about being a pilot. Later I found out he use to fly corporate before he was a controller and is a DPE (Designated Pilot Examiner). Then throw an ATP (Airline Transport Pilot) certificate on top of 30 years of experience from being a controller and you get an instructor that you can't argue with. Bob can show you how to prioritize in steps for small amounts of time that save you a lot of headache. He wi... [Read More]
