Re: FCCJ in FALL 09
Posted: 12-10-2009, 12:32 AM Which physics class are you in? I really wish I didn't have to take physics, but at least there are others that already have a bachelor's takin that class.
Yeah, agreed though...we should definitely all meet up during the first couple weeks of school. |

Re: FCCJ in FALL 09
Posted: 01-27-2010, 12:06 PM has anyone finished the program from FCCJ CTI and have been picked up by the FAA? I'd LOVE to hear a warming story about how they've made it already... I'm finishing up here at Florida State this summer with a bachelors and I think I am going to go do the CTI prog as well. Convince me!

Re: FCCJ in FALL 09
Posted: 03-12-2010, 11:13 AM I'm planning on attending FSCJ (formerly FCCJ) in the Fall '10 semester. I'll have a bachelors degree with lots of course credit... does anyone have an update on the absolute minimum time required to complete? I'm not asking about any of the "Gen Ed" classes, just the ATC classes. Is the course rotation such that it is impossible to take all the required ATC classes in 12 months (Fall, Spring, Summer)? I was told that it would take a minimum of 16 months just because of the way classes are offered, yet some on this thread seem to think otherwise.

Re: FCCJ in FALL 09
Posted: 03-12-2010, 04:43 PM I am currently attending the school and it takes a minium of 4 semesters. you have to take environment of the atc first semester....then they see if u r eligible for the program(enc1101-college english, mac1105--college algebra--, physics---all requirements)..the top 30 students get in....2nd semester intro to atc, 3rd...tower...4th, radar, non-radar and internship. They can't be taken side by side and they have to be taken in that order...they are pre-reqs for each other.
Anyone who thinks otherwise is full of crap. The only way you can do this program in under than 4 semesters is if you have taken 'environment of the atc'. I HIGHLY doubt you have since so few colleges offer it. I have my bachelors along with a ton of other kids in the program and we r all on the 4 semester program. Not full time..since we have a ton of gen ed's already done. my email is my user name at gmail.....i can send u the course layout and scholarship info. Dont know if u know...but there is a full tuition and books opportunity for anyone in the program. ![]() |

Re: FCCJ in FALL 09
Posted: 03-21-2010, 06:10 PM I'm still deciding which school to attend for the CTI. I really like FSCJ, especially after visiting the facility. The equipment was seemed very nice. But after all the talk about CCBC, it seems like that might be a good option to get the CTO. Does anyone at FSCJ have any suggestions? Are you learning a lot? Do you feel confident about applying and not failing after you're done with school?
