Broward College is an excellent CTI school. I am currently in my 3rd semester of the program. The professors all work or have just recently retired from the FAA, most from Miami International Airport, so all of the information you are receiving is very current. They are extremely helpful with any questions that you have and break down the information for you so that you can actually learn and understand all of the rules and procedures. In the Radar class, we work one of the actual sectors from Miami Tracon. We run the arrivals and departures into two airports, as well as handling over flights and VFR popups in the area. We have to learn to use the correct procedures, phraseology, and LOAs for the airspace while maintaining proper separation. The simulator lab is BRAND new and runs the STARS system. We are currently getting a brand new Tower simulator for the next semester which will be up this June. I am very happy to be one of the first to attend this program and will graduate with a large amount of knowledge and confidence going into my ATC career. If you would like some more information, please feel free to PM me..
