Attention to detail, laser-like focus and the ability to handle big responsibilities … if that sounds like you, then you might be a good candidate for a career in air traffic control.
Lewis University's nationally recognized aviation department offers an associate degree or a bachelor of science degree in air traffic control management. Either degree will provide you with the basic knowledge and technical training needed to pursue your career. Classroom instruction, laboratory simulations and hands-on learning sessions in Lewis' state-of-the-art facilities will give you the experience you need.
Lewis' curriculum is tailored to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) air traffic facilities, and students learn according to the foundation designated by the FAA. This prepares students for entry into the FAA Academy, where they will complete their air traffic control training. All students will need to pass the AT-SAT Aptitude Test before their final training at the FAA Academy in Oklahoma City.
