St. Cloud State University is among the eight additional colleges or universities selected by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to participate in the Air Traffic Collegiate Training Initiative (CTI) program. Approved participants prepare and train students interested in a career as an air traffic controller.
Two undergraduate programs are offered by the Department of Aviation:
Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Aviation, which prepares students for professional careers in the aviation industry in Professional Flight, Management, or Operations
Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.S.) degree in Aviation Maintenance Management has been discontinued. Students have the opportunity to complete a B.S. in Aviation degree with a Management emphasis.
AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL Program
The SCSU Aviation Department offers the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Air Traffic - Collegiate Training Initiative (AT-CTI) program as part of the B.S. Aviation Operations major.
Aviation Minors are also offered for optional study in Flight, Operations, or Management when combined with another university major.
