Re: Lateral move between DOD and FAA?
Posted: 04-28-2010, 09:18 PM You can get a job, not sure lateral move is how I would put it.

Re: Lateral move between DOD and FAA?
Posted: 04-28-2010, 10:07 PM yes. The requirement is not for you to be hired by the FAA prior to 31 but to be a GS 2152 employee by 31. DOD controller jobs are GS 2152. You could be 40 and be hired by the FAA if you were 2152 before 31.

Never heard that before. What other jobs are GS 2152 jobs?

Re: Lateral move between DOD and FAA?
Posted: 05-10-2010, 05:27 PM So here is my situation. I am in the FAA but might take a DOD job in another state if offered. I know all my retirement and TSP carry over to DOD since its another federal position. How difficult is it to get back in the FAA, and is there any age requirements involved? I might want to try and get back in to the FAA in that state or region.
