There are 2 temp civilian controller jobs and both are filled. The is one Airspace job vacant but someone was selected for it a coiple of weeks ago. Why temps? The AF and Army are still debating on which branch will take over the airfield operations since the Army took over the base. If the Army take over airfield ops, there will be a several openings for civilians. If the AF keeps it, there will most likely be a total of 4 civilains.

I arrived ay Pope in 5/2006 and the Army was going to take over and AMC decided to pull the four 2152 position back. Then, the Army decided not to take over the airfield ops. Then decided maybe to take over. I left in 11/2007 and no decision was made. Since then, the 2 temp jobs popped up to poor mil manning. I believe they are GS-10s

I am from NC and I don't like fayettenam as a whole. However, there some really nice places here and there. The tower is a great palace to work and the people are awesome...
