Probation
Posted: 06-29-2009, 12:37 PM I have completed my federal probationary period as a civilian controller in the DoD. Just curious if I'll have to go through another probationary period in the FAA or will I be off probation?
Thank you |

Re: Probation
Posted: 01-04-2010, 01:31 PM You do know that the 1st year in DoD is Probationary, then you are Career Conditional thru year 2 and 3, and only after your 3rd year anniversary do you become Permanent. Not sure how that would effect you going into the FAA if you are under 3 years DoD....

Re: Probation
Posted: 02-27-2010, 06:07 AM As those above have stated "NO", the FAA tried to fire a developmental who they claimed had not completed his probationary time, and NATCA took it to arbritration and won because the individual had been a DOD controller for 3 or so.
