Does anyone have a list of good numbers to all or most DOD facilities? The Air Force employment doesn't let you know when they are hiring. The Army one does but I would like some numbers just to get a feel for when certain facilities are hiring and when they plan to hire.

Have you been to www.usajobs.opm.gov and searched for specific places you might be interested in working? That is where all of the DOD jobs are now posted.

Wholy crap! Simple to apply for Navy and Army employment but the Air Force is different. They need every document your breath have touched..

DOD for Navy bases
Posted: 06-26-2008, 02:54 PM

Has anyone heard anything about the Navy hiring for controllers anytime soon? I go to the website but the closeout date just tacks on another year. Is it up to the facility? It just seems hard to get any information. I'll even take base ops if I can.

The Navy/Marine Corps has a continously open announcement. When a job becomes available, the ATM will request resumes (usually 10-15 at a time) from HR that match the job requirements. the ATM then chooses from them.

AF DoD Hiring

sounds like the AF does it bout the same as the navy then. although every once in a blue moon, they'll actually pull a location off of usajobs. i was stationed at Vance in OK for 8 yrs and the listing was up there 95% of the time, even if we knew there were no slots...

If you are still looking for DoD Facility Phone numbers, try the IFR supplement. That will at least get you to Base Ops who can then give you a number for the Air Traffic Manager......
