Whats the pay like over there? Is it hard to get picked up coming out of the military with a CTO? Do they have radar (GCA)? Just wondering, I grew up right there off Valley View in Westminster. Getting out in about a year, going over my options. Thanks.

Re: DOD job
Posted: 05-10-2009, 08:01 PM gca tower, lots of resumes for any openings there, all military resumes look the same the only thing that stands out is civilian experiance which goes a long way. you have no options only hope when you get out, you dont just apply to the job you want and get it. most people get out and go contract because dod is all in who you know and very slim right now with the way the faa pay is.

Re: DOD job
Posted: 01-25-2010, 08:02 PM Hey guys, I'm just starting the separation process out of the Marines. I've got 9 years of experience and a CTO out of Miramar. I have put my resume online with the DoN HR website. Any tips? Should I start calling facilities? Anyone retiring soon or know of anyone retiring soon? Lookin for any help I can get...thanks guys.
