Just wondering if anyone know what an MRU is?

Do you think it is worth leaving a GS -12 DOD ATC job for the FAA if you like the job you have now? Sometimes I feel like I put to much emphasis on the FAA and was wondering if anyone had any insight, who have been back and forth between the two.

Well, my question has been answered...why the CPOL site was down most of yesterday.

They have updated the "status tracking" page to reflect the number of applicants who have applied for each position. Interesting, or discouraging depending on how you look at it.

It does put things in perspective as I look at my ATC app's (1 in 4 of what I am eligible for). Sure enough, 200-250 per announcement - now if they would just add a "referred for position" column!

Hello all, I was wondering if controllers get some kind of extra pay if they live in high cost of living areas?

Does anyone get the message the DON website is untrusted? My computer wont allow me to get on there.

I'm sure I'm just like the rest of you looking for DoD employment...applying to every job announcement! Let's just say I'm well into double digits...

However...I'm getting "old" in the eyes of the FAA and I need the coveted "2152." So, I feel like I have to take the first job offered to me.

What happens when you accept a tentative job offer? Specifically with the Air Force and AFPC HR, does your name get flagged and all other job offers cease?
