Physical Appearance
Posted: 06-29-2012, 09:28 AM Hey I am a recent graduate from CCBC terminal program and I'm just wondering how much our appearance will affect us throughout our career. I have gone to different towers and saw quite a few crazy and visible tattoos and a loose dress code but my main concern is that im considering dreadlocks. I am white and I'm just wondering if its going to cause me any trouble getting hired and making it through oak city or not. Thank you!

If you don't grow dreads and still suck then you'll just be know as the idiot, so in the end it really doesn't matter. Just gives them a few more opportunities to make fun of you(Which will happen regardless of what you look like) lol

Posted: 07-02-2012, 01:26 AM i have a full sleeve plus some facial piercings. i wore long sleeves for 2 days and then when it his 100 i said F this... i got a few looks, but otherwise my classmates and instructors are pretty chill and even ask about them. i have only been here 2 weeks, but basically if u try hard, your skills and knowledge will be what defines you, NOT your tattoos or hair or etc...
