FOL Paperwork
Posted: 06-12-2009, 03:06 PM I hate to do this but since I'd rather be safe then sorry I'm going to anyway. I've gotten my FOL and with it came the checklist of paperwork. I'm not exactly sure what they want back "within 10 business days" so I've just been trudging through all of it. I was hoping some of the more experienced around here could help me out with a few questions.
Whats my pay plan, series, grade? Seems specific but I'm not sure what it is. Same goes for "category" and "Level/Pay Band". On the ID Card/Credential App, which one are we applying for? ID card or Credentials? What about Office Routing Symbol, Office Phone Numbers, Issuing Office Use, Office email address, etc. Is it even possible to fill out the Direct Deposit form yet? It wants Claim or Payroll ID number... Thanks for any help or advice. |

Re: FOL Paperwork
Posted: 06-14-2009, 12:18 PM sounds like you have a lot more to do than i did. as for anything that asked about my pay series or grade, i left it blank. they didnt care. make sure youre only filling out the things that were X'ed. i didnt have to do anything concerning an ID. thats done on the first day at the main gate.

Re: FOL Paperwork
Posted: 06-14-2009, 12:31 PM I haven't yet received my FOL but from what i've heard there's a checklist like otter mentioned.. anything x'd needs to be filled out, otherwise don't worry about it.
You may want to call your HR or possibly aviation careers if you have any further questions regarding it. |

Posted: 06-14-2009, 01:23 PM Anything X'ed needs to be filled out? Oh...whoops. I thought since it was a CHECKLIST, anything checked off was already done...hmm, better go back and look through it again. Well I have a head start on paperwork at the very least.

Re: FOL Paperwork
Posted: 06-14-2009, 03:05 PM heh..
you know.. if I had my FOL in hand and i was given a checklist I'd probably just do all the paperwork too because.. well... I'D HAVE MY F-ING FOL.. doing un-necessary FOL paperwork sounds like fun.. even if I don't have to turn it in. it'd be very pleasing to my ego. lol. congrats on your FOL anyway! |

Re: FOL Paperwork
Posted: 06-16-2009, 04:42 PM Definately call if you have questions. The best bet is to either email or fax the information. Just make sure that your scans are sent as .jpg (NOT .TIF) or they can't be opened. Staples has decent faxing rates. Just send it asap for safety.

Re: FOL Paperwork
Posted: 06-16-2009, 05:05 PM I think I'm okay on the paperwork. The checked stuff wasn't confusing at all and I faxed it back yesterday. Thanks for the help, probably wouldn't have figured out I was doing the wrong stuff if I hadn't checked.
Good thing is though that I've got a nice head start on checking out insurance, lots of choices and information to digest. |

Re: FOL Paperwork
Posted: 06-16-2009, 07:29 PM Did you fill out the W-4? They are asking me for it, but that is unusual to fill out months in advance.
