You can request leave to make it back in time as per okc hr rep. evidently it happens a lot so from my understanding it's no biggie.

I am trying to check out High Mesa Homes. They told me they have class date for me to start the Academy starting Jan. 4, 2010 and ending May 12th. I will be going to ZTL after that. was interested in High Mesa because I have a dog, but when I try to click the link in this post it tells me that I don't have permission , wtf? Anyway, can someone send me a link or some contact info for High Mesa Homes. Also, are this single occupant living units or will you be paired with a roommate if living there. I would much rather have my own living space. Thanks ahead of time.

High Mesa Gone?
Posted: 11-18-2009, 09:20 PM

I have read various threads on here with people suggesting High Mesa Homes, but it is no longer on this sites housing list and when I try to click the links in the threads it tells me I don't have permission for some reason, whats going on? I recently was told that they have a start date for me. I will be attending the academy from Jan. 4 - May 12 and heading to ZTL after that. I was hoping to get ZFW but as I was recently laid off I can't be too picky
Anybody know where I can find info on High Mesa Homes? I liked its pricing and I have a dog so it sounds perfect for me. Also I would like to know is it a single living unit or do they pair you with roommates there? I would prefer to not have a roommate. I'm looking forward to attending the academy. I worked as an aerospace engineer for almost 4 years and didn't really like it, I think ATC is a better fit for me.

I checked into this myself recently. I'm not sure why they aren't on SM anymore, but I had saved the phone number. I called and the lady said they didn't have anything available. Then, the very next day, I saw a thread posted on this board stating she had a two bedroom available (I really wanted a one bedroom). I called and she said that she can't hold the place for that long (My date is Jan 20, I called about 2 weeks ago). Also, I don't think that they pair you with a roommate.

I recommend High Mesa Homes to anyone who is looking for a place to stay in OKC. I stayed there for 3 months last summer while I was in initial tower training. I couldn't have been happier. I saved tons of money and had a nicer place than most everyone else in my class. She has a few houses - I stayed in the duplex as well as the cottage, both were great. One of my classmates stayed in the 2br and it was very nice as well.

The landlord is very accommodating. She will help you out with anything you need. I recently inquired about staying there again for RTF, but she didn't have any vacancies. She went out of her way to go walk through an apartment for me to make sure it was nice and in a decent area. If I had a choice, I would not stay anywhere else.
