New Year's Eve/New Year's Day In OKC
Posted: 12-28-2009, 04:00 PM

Again Isola Bella will provide Free Shuttle Service from Isola Bella Pavilion to Bricktown, http://www.bricktownokc.com/the center of OKC New Year’s Eve parties. All clubs, bars, and restaurants have special events and parties. The first shuttle will leave Isola Bella at 800 PM and the last shuttle at 830 PM. Return to Isola Bella will depart Bricktown at 0100 AM.
The Arts Council of Oklahoma City produces Opening Night in downtown Oklahoma City http://okc.about.com/od/attractionsa...earseveokc.htm for New Year’s Eve. Musical acts throughout the night, a fantastic fireworks display and a family-friendly atmosphere with a scavenger hunt; Opening Night is a great way to ring in the New Year in OKC.
Festivities last from 7 p.m. to midnight throughout downtown, from various venues to the city streets.

Final countdown begins at 11:30 p.m. with the fireworks scheduled for the moment the New Year arrives. Wristbands for Opening Night are $8 in advance and $10 at the event, with children under 5 admitted free. They can be purchased at area 7-11 Stores, Homeland grocery stores as well as on the night of the festivities. The wristbands do not include admission to bars and clubs with cover charges.

Taking in all the venues will require a lot of outdoor time, so dress accordingly. Temperature should be dropping to the low 20’s by midnight.

New Years Day Isola Bella will be helping you recover from all the previous night’s fun. Mimosa Brunch 11 AM – 2PM in the Pavilion plus Bloody Mary and Bloody Maria mix (BYOB) and the requisite celery stick for those who need to tame the hair of the dog. Four big LCD screens of bowl games should help with the recovery process! Snacks throughout the afternoon.

Most of all – be smart, be safe, and not become a statistic

It has been a great 2009 and looking forward to lowering my handicap in 2010.

Cheers,

Over 80 people took the safe way to Bricktown. Tap Works seemed to be the most requested destination. Reports had it one driver even made a liquor store stop on the way to help get the party going early
New Years Day Mimosa Brunch had some folks staring the hair of the dog in the face.

Cheers,
