Anyone accept a class date today?

I got a call from Aviation Careers today (not my HR) asking if I could accept a Nov 25th class date. I told her I would have to get back to her and she said that if I didnt accept now it would prolly be gone. This is the second class date I have missed, the first was Oct 31st. So do u think that anything bad will happen if I keep turning down these class dates? I really wanna go but they keep giving me like 10 days and then she told me the next date would give me 30 days notice at least.

Thats tough man, what are you supposed to do if you need to give your current employer notice?

oh and you terminal or enroute? do you know if you are going to a "critically staffed facility"?

I dont know if im going to a critically staffed facility, but im a CTO applicant going to ORF, Norfolk Intl, lvl 9 TRACON

I think they will still try and place you in a class, but if you keep turning them down, your application will probably get lower and lower on the totem pole. I found out last week that I was going to be in the 11/25 session as well. I say take it if you can, it's pretty lucky that they called you for the 10/31 and 11/25.

if your VRA and don't like the class date then keep declining. they will keep coming. if OTS you may wanna seriously think about taking a date while u can.

Yeah, I was contacted for both 10/31 as well as 11/25; I had to turn both of them down also. I asked my HR person if their would be any ramifications of turning down these classes and she said this: They will continue to place you into classes. However, if you continue to turn them down...eventually...they will offer you another class and tell you that this is the last offer. If you decline that class date, you application will be removed. She also said not to worry, that it takes a lot more than 2 or 3 refusals. I think we'll be okay. I am trying to hold out until January. Where are you guys going?

i turned down at least 3 dates before they gave me a good bit of heads up...
The really short term notice offers are because someone dropped out of a class and they need someone to fill the slot, hence the opportunity being gone if you need to sit and wait because someone will take the early class on their list...

Dont overly concern yourself with it but your new facility may also be trying to line you up with another so they can train you concurrently once you get to orf...
