I liked this sentence in particular: . “The [Obama] administration continues to urge Congress to act to replace the damaging cuts imposed by the sequester with a balanced approach that reduces the deficit while protecting critical priorities,” the FAA said in a statement to Government Executive.

So, they're saying the Obama administration is urging Congress (who begged Obama NOT to implement sequester) to "act" (which they already have almost a dozen times voted to give discretion and Obama has vetoed) to replace the DAMAGING cuts that Obama imposed on the government after promising he wouldn't during the campaign and in the debates?

-I think up and create this wonderful idea to punch you in the face.
-I realize it's not such a great idea.
-I promise multiple times not to ever hit you.
-You warn everyone I will hit you.
-I convince everyone that you're wrong and I won't hit you.
-More people believe me, so I win election.
    -I hit you.
-You give me nearly a dozen opportunities to apologize and take it back, but I refuse.
-I blame you for me hitting you.
-Everyone believes me that it's your fault I hit you because the media is state-run.
-I issue statements urging you to act so that I won't hit you again.
-The public now believes you hit yourself, and gets behind me, urging you not to hit yourself again.

It's a pretty amazing country we live in.

I don't recall Congress begging for sequestration not to be implemented. I'm pretty sure they had all the tools necessary to stop it from happening but chose to do nothing instead.

Other than it screwing most of us on stuc-mic, the military and a few other programs there are a lot of positive things coming from the automatic cuts detailed in the sequestration. I would be suprised if its withdrawn.

I wasn't specific enough. Republicans begged against it. Democrats insisted on it. The house passed numerous blocks and repeals. Democrats in senate shut everyone down and approved it.

And like Buffalo said I do agree there are positives to it because we are flat out broke as a nation, and cuts NEED to happen. I just take exception to the president blaming others for it when he invented it, proposed it, then promised it wouldn't happen to get elected, then did it anyways, and is now blaming everyone else for it.
