    Status of Age Discrimination Lawsuit?

From what I know the FAA recently lost a court battle on age discrimination. Has anyone heard the outcome of that or any future plans to hire eligible applicants who are over 31? All this EEOC stuff has me wondering if they will be looking at lifting the age requirement.

    thoughts?

So far it won't change anything. Generally the people suing were over 40, but still eligible to apply because they did their initial hire into ATC before age 31. Should have no effect... but I am sure it has helped put additional pressure on the FAA to go to one open bid for all sources.

I don't think they will change the hiring age from 31. LEO positions have a maximum entry age of 37 and that has been challenged in court as well. Even when someone wins, they find a reason to keep the maximum age at 37.
