Call the secretary, 904-549-1501, and see about setting up a meeting with the manager, Rick Miller.

Great thanks so much! The secretary was very helpful and I scheduled an appointment in 2 weeks. Any advice on info I should have with me or questions to be ready to answer. I know it's not an interview but I want to make that ever-important good first impression.

well Nassau County has all A schools (Fernandina Beach, Yulee, Callahan, Hilliard) but is full of hillbillies. Most people tend towards Clay county on the southwest side of town (Orange Park, Fleming Island). Seems to be a better area for the young ones according to my co-workers. Sorry I cant be more helpful but maybe it will point you in the right direction!

Show them that you know about ATC, but don't be cocky. You almost want to act like you don't know much. When I toured C90, I went in there with that attitude and the tour went very well.

I'm coming in to zjx next year off a VRA hire. I know I will be starting at the 40ish pay band, but I had heard rumors that upon arriving at the facility I will be bumped to D1. Can anyone confirm this please?

Thanks!

I dont see how you would be bumped to D1, you need 2 D sides per the FAA/NATCA contract. Unless im missing something you can expect AG pay until your first two D's. (wont take long at jax center) I've never heard of anyone just getting bumped up a pay band b/c they are VRA.
