That's awesome! Me and my girlfriend are leaning towards Stovall as well. Nice staff there and it's gated. Good choice. I'll def PM you when I get out there to see what the PV was all about. Thanks man.

Been here since 1987. Am currently a NAS @ the ZJX ARTCC SOC desk.

I live in Fernandina Beach which is also a beautiful place to live.

Does anyone know how many people ZJX needs? I already had my interview, and am waiting on my TOL. I know if your facility dosent need anyone right now, then you are going to be waiting for a while to get into class at okc. I dont mind waiting till FY2011, just dont wanna wait to long after JAN 2011.

They technically don't need anyone right now. The Training Manager said they have 350 controllers and could lose quite a few and be fine. I wouldn't look to try and get that facility for now.

I was just going to ask about the staffing situation at ZJX but I guess I got my answer. Also someone said something earlier about the facility having a high washout rate but can anyone back it up with any numbers?

When I put 2 and 2 together here, I figure with the high washout rate the need for controllers there may increase sometime in the future but this is just wild speculation based on the speculative high washout rate.

Well I guess I will have to wait, I still have a Job right now so if I get a class date in Dec. that will be fine. If I could pick places to be, ZJX would be my second choice right behind ATL. Why would they slot me to go there if they dont need anyone?
