They may not "need" more people but always want to have a few trainees in the pipeline. Gotta keep them trainers busy, ya know? They may just have a small amount in training. I walked by the training rooms and only saw one group of students.. like 3 to be exact.

The only way to find out if ZJX needs people is by following the newer applicants and seeing if they are getting TOLS (now days) for ZJX. Most of the people going there are from Pubnat 5/6. If anyone out of that pubnat is still getting TOLs for that facility then the answer would be yes they are hiring.

heard it was a nice facility if you can get past and live with the "unethical" things that happen there. Folks I know from Nashville and other southern faciilities hate the "Hilliard" mentality, if you can read between the lines, So a Northerner take heed unless this is a mentality you've always wanted to be around. Cheaper COL in Hiilliard is great but "overt " rather than "covert" if you know what I mean might be something to some people as well which may help/hurt decission to transfer................. it's definately a lot to think about.

I have never been to ZJX, but I am pretty sure that just about every place is what you make it. I dont know too much about the "Hilliard Mantality" but I could deal with it at work for 100k a year.

I'm going to ZJX in August, please enlighten me as to what "unethical" things you are talking about. My contacts with the training manager have always been very pleasant, and I'm looking forward to working there. Does anyone on here have an airspace map for Jax Center?

I'm a Pubnat 7 OTS living in and hoping to work at ZJX. Scored a 94 on AT-SAT. What are my chances... lay it on me straight...

What the Training Manager tells you and the Controller tells you will be two different things... I'd wait till I got there to form my own opinion.

Is it just me or is he implying that the people in Hillard are members of the KKK and if you are a person of color or a religion other than baptist you might not want to go there?
