Developmental Reinstatement

Are the majority of you out there that are applying for the reinstatement bids previous cpc or developmental? How likely are you to get picked back up if you are a dev. and your probabtionary period is already finished? Any help or advice would be appreciated.

I'm a former CPC and I also applied via Retired Military Controller. I'm not sure what prospects are for prior developmentals. I guess it would depend on the reasons you left. I have heard that they cut the budget for hiring in half for remainder of 2010. That came from the manager at my old facility.

It's a requirement for you to have 52 weeks in the FAA, which would mean your probationary period is already over. I've heard mixed reports on people getting picked up Reinst. I left the agency as a dev and came back last year.

That's awesome. I guess it depends on the needs of the FAA. I'm sure it helps to have a good reputation and an endorsement from your last facility.

Where does one begin with the rehire process? I have a good friend who left the agency as a developmental (probation period was over) and now he would like to reapply. I'm trying to get him as much info as possible.
