Maine and New Hampshire...So, what next. Have to get selected for an interview. I was told selection panel will pull names at the end of the month and then could be 4 to 6 more weeks before you hear anything. Then have to get an offer. Then pre-hire processing which can take awhile. Still, a step closer to getting out of cubicle hell at the VA!!!

I got referred in CA. From what I have heard the VRA's are turning into reinstatement's anyway. Also, from the guy who was not an FPL, I don't think you can apply under REINST unless you were and FPL?!?!? Really eager to get back to work....at least I made the list. Ho-hum...

I did. CA and CO. How often does a person get on a referral list and not get picked up in the end? When I went in the first time under VRA it took about 6 months. I understand things have slowed these days. How much have they slowed?

I think I just answered my question... I checked ASAP and Ca said someone else was picked and CO says they decided not to fill it or pick from another list. Interesting.

Not selected for Florida nor for Puerto Rico. Third time on the referral lists and no luck. Starting to think the FAA does not want me back.

I got rejected on my REINST but, still in the running for RMC. Problem here is that if I'm picked up as a RMC I'll have to go to OKC at bottom of the scale. So, I was a FPL, OJTI, CIC 9 months ago and next I'll be in class with CTI's at 40K a year. Who'm I kiddin at this point I'll take it, as long as it leads to getting back in a headset.

Gunny it sounds like you have an interesting situation. So you are retired military and also worked for the faa? Sounds like they would snatch you right up.
