Does anyone know that if you are reinstated, does your probational year start over or does your previous time count?

I was just recently let go from my facility. I was hired under a CTI announcement originally. I want to be back in the FAA as soon as possible and i have tons of student loans to pay back. I made some mistakes at my last facility that wont happen again. I did not get my CTO in the time i was there, as i was about 75% done with local. Does anyone know where i go from here? Please guys i need your help!

there is no probation for reinstatement's as long as the probation period was completed the first time. if u quit before u completed your probation then your on it again.

that's the catch. you have to have been in the FAA for 52 weeks, thus completed your probation, in order to come in under the reinstatement bid.

You need to divulge some more info before someone can give you any kind of helpful advice. What kind of mistakes? Were you washed out? Fired for telling racist jokes? Why were you separated? The union would have been a good place to start before you got let go.

It will be easier for you to get reinstated if you left the FAA on good terms. If not, they might not give you a chance.

not entirely true. You have to be a 2152 for 52 consecutive weeks this means that if you are DOD and join the FAA you will not have a probation period. I know this does not apply here but this is for those that may be reading that this does apply to.
