New announcement
Posted: 08-21-2010, 06:01 PM In the reinstatement announcement that came out yesterday it says you cannot count your academy time towards your 52 consecutive weeks requirement. I'm almost positive in the Redbook it states you only have to have 52 consecutive weeks as a 2152 to be eligible for reinstatement and does not mention the academy at all. Had I known this, I would have stayed in the FAA a little longer....anyone have any input or know if there are waivers for this kind of thing?

Posted: 08-22-2010, 05:22 AM the academy is not 2152 time. your not an AG in the academy. 2152 is controller status, not academy student status. so yes, u need 52 weeks of 2152 time and yes, academy time does not count. u should've asked someone before u resigned.
not to be confused with academy time counting towards your probationary period. |

Posted: 08-22-2010, 12:02 PM Very strange since after probation you are changed to "permanent" status meaning eligible for reinstatement. That's what I've been told by HR anyways. Maybe the requirement is only for this bid and it will change from time to time?
