what exactly is a CTO?
Posted: 08-23-2010, 03:39 AM when you left the FAA and they took away the light, greenish card (your credentials) with your ratings on the back, how do you show people (say a contract tower) that you have a CTO? i'm just a bit confused on what exactly is a CTO. is it that green card or is it something else?

Re: what exactly is a CTO?
Posted: 08-23-2010, 08:45 AM Yes, if you were fully certified in the tower, the CTO was the green plastic card with your ratings on it. Some facility managers are still under the old way of doing things. They tried to tell me I shouldn't have my old cards anymore. Either way, if they did take them, you can call out to OK City and get a copy sent to you.
