Re: RIC?
Posted: 03-05-2009, 08:24 PM one of my classmates from the academy went there, you will love it and the city of richmond. its a very good place to start your ATC career. RIC was where i was born and raised. Big plus is as long you keep your head in the game, you will make CPC real quick.

Re: RIC?
Posted: 03-17-2009, 12:59 AM Just to give you a heads up, RIC is not an up-down anymore (was for a long time). Potomac TRACON handles radar down there now.
Other than that, Richmond is not a bad area. I used to go down there all the time from D.C. to hang out with friends. Also, Paramounts Kings Dominion is just north of the city in Ashland. Awesome place! |

Re: Richmond Tower - RIC
Posted: 02-10-2010, 12:11 PM Does anyone have any contacts at Richmond VA. tower or know their staffing situation? My wife works at the head VDOT office there and I'm not trying to commute to the DC area airports. I know that you can't be really picky but figure that knowing someone there can't hurt.
