I did originally! Came to APA instead though - I am a bigger fan of the Springs than Denver to live in though :P I heard y'all have a ton of trainees! What does the time frame for check out look like on average?

Depends on the ability of the individual right now. 2 years on average or longer.
I flew up to APA for breakfast yesterday morning with some friends. Yes, we have a lot and getting more! There is a backlog to train on local so we have a bunch of ground controllers and CD people. It's a fun place to work and since we have the TRACON there, you get all the fun under one roof....

Not looking to come to COS, but I was a pilot at RHV for quite some time... What year(s) did you work there if you don't mind me asking?

March 1990 thru early 1992. Then went to SJC until OCT 95.. I flew out of RHV too at the Flying Country Club... Not sure if it is still there or not.

That was a little before my time. Just to put it all in perspective, I graduated middle school in '95. The Flying Country Club was not around when I began flight training. I did most of my flying out of Nice Air.

Do you think you'll keep your TRACON in house or do you think it'll be consolidated up to Denver like Pueblo's? I'd like to pick up some radar experience after I check out here and have a few years under my belt, but I'm not sure I'd like to do it at D01 or the Center *lol*

Yesterday morning, huh? Did you happen to mention breakfast on the radio by chance since I think remember one of the pilots doing that while I was training on LC who did :P

I was flying Bonanza 9171Q.. We landed 17L and taxied to the jet center. It was a female on LC.... It was around 1020 or so I think... As for keeping the radar here, I'm not convinced we will be able to.... My luck in LAS sucks too!

Were you at APA when Carrie was still there? She was on my crew at SJC and we worked together there...

Yep that was me - I remember you and the light sport - when we first looked at him we all were thinking it looked like a "Remos, but not" *lol*

And yep! Carrie was my supervisor when I first got here until she moved up to DEN in December!

I'll keep crossing my fingers on your TRACON though! One can only hope :P
